JVC’s new X-Series LCD TVs feature a newly designed cabinet with a thin glossy bezel and bottom-firing speakers, a configuration that conveys the sets’ focus on both audio and video performance. All three models feature full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and upconvert all signals to display at full 1080p. Three HDMI inputs allow connection of the latest generation of 1080p sources that offer 1080p outputs. Other features include nine aspect modes, four picture modes, a new on-screen menu system with detailed graphics, a redesigned remote and a side-access USB photo viewer.
In convenience features, the new sets offer nine video aspect modes*, including a full native mode that shows the full picture with no overscan, four picture modes (standard, game, theater and dynamic) to optimize performance for different room situations and program material, and a USB photo viewer (JPEG) – a USB input for connection to a USB mass storage device, including JVC’s Everio hard drive cameras.
To ensure the best possible picture, the new sets feature a 32bit 250MHz processor with 64MB (clock rate: 333MHz) of fast transmission DDR (Double Data Rate) memory to insure support on the processor. The processor’s graphics engine employs a series of advanced picture enhancing circuits to deliver sharp, clean images with smooth edges and accurate color reproduction. 10 Bit processing is supported through the entire circuit for smooth pictures with natural gradation.

Images can be zoomed and rotated, viewed individually or played as a slide show. A new unified remote control features direct input selection.
All three sets offer a full complement of inputs – three HDMI inputs, two component inputs, two composite inputs, an S-Video input, and SPDIF input and an analog audio out.
For HD program reception, all three sets include a built-in ATSC tuner for receiving over-the-air digital terrestrial broadcasts and a Clear QAM tuner for receiving unscrambled digital cable signals.
