The DV28 series TVs —in 19-, 22-, 26- and 32-inch screen class sizes (18 1/2", 21 1/2", 26" and 31 1/2" diagonals) — pack a slot-loading DVD player for an efficient one-box solution to home entertainment.
Power-saving features have earned both series of TVs the Energy Star rating for power consumption. The DV28 has achieved the latest ENERGY STAR 4.0 rating thanks to advanced features including an OPC ambient light sensor and Sharp's proprietary power-saving mode.
“Consumers are looking for energy-saving features that cut back on power consumption without sacrificing performance,
” said Bruce Tripido, associate vice president, marketing, for Sharp's Entertainment Products Division. "The Energy Star ratings of Sharp's small-screen TVs demonstrate the company's commitment to the environment. At the same time, lifestyle features including an on-board DVD player and PC input bring a high-quality, integrated entertainment experience to small living areas and secondary rooms."
DV28 Series
The DV28 Series builds upon Sharp's high-performance widescreen HD TFT LCD panel. The combination TVs bundle a side-loading progressive-scan DVD player and add two HDMI inputs to accommodate external audio/video sources. The LCD TVs display content in its true 16:9 aspect ratio with 1366 x 768 resolution for a clear and detailed image. A high contrast ratio for deep blacks and detail in dark scenes combines with a fast 5ms response time to deliver a high-quality picture in a compact home theater solution.
Sharp DV28 Series TVs bear the ENERGY STAR 4.0 seal, meeting U.S. Department of Energy and Environmental Protection Agency guidelines that mandate a 40 percent improvement in energy efficiency in On Mode.
SB28 Series
Sharp SB28 series TVs employ a high-performance TFT LCD panel with Spectral Contrast Engine D (Dark), providing a high dynamic contrast ratio for deep blacks and vibrant colors in dark or bright scenes. These models are equipped with a variety of inputs making them suitable for a range of applications including bedrooms, dorm rooms and kitchens. A wide viewing angle allows for placement flexibility and a headphone mini jack enables users to enjoy entertainment without disturbing others.
Two HDMI inputs can accommodate add-on audio/video sources including Blu-ray Disc™ players, video game players, digital video recorders and other multimedia devices. A PC input enables SB28 TVs to serve as large-screen monitors for laptop computers.
