“Samsung is proud to deliver increasingly flexible, immersive HDTV experiences including the incorporation of 3D technology that meet consumers’ evolving entertainment expectations,” said John Revie, senior vice president of Home Entertainment for Samsung Electronics America. “The 2010 lineup of LCD TVs delivers our commitment to quality, with new breakthrough designs, improved picture quality, connectivity capabilities and energy efficiency.”
Samsung LCD 750 Series
Samsung’s Real 240Hz™ LCD 750 sets a new bar for modern innovation for LCD HDTVs by offering built-in 3D technology. Samsung is delivering the best 3D HDTV experience possible by leveraging a number of proprietary technologies. The built-in 3D processor was developed to comply with the major 3D formats. In addition, Samsung’s 3D technology delivers a picture using a full color spectrum for an immersive viewing experience.
For those not in the 3D mood, it’s easy to enjoy the same enhanced picture quality content in 2D with the push of a button. Even if 3D content is unavailable, the TVs can render 2D content – like broadcast TV, gaming content, and legacy DVDs – into 3D in real time.
By adding Samsung’s 3D Blu-ray player (BD-C6900) and a pair of Samsung 3D active glasses to their 750 Series purchase, consumers can enjoy a complete 3D total solution for home entertainment.
Samsung LCD 650 Series
Samsung’s LCD 650 is a beautifully crafted, multimedia centerpiece that plays a wide array of digital content in pristine full HD glory. With a comprehensive range of features and capabilities, the LCD 650 features a new Ultra Clear panel to produce richer, more natural colors, deeper contrast and greater clarity than ever before. The 650 features Samsung’s120Hzclear motion technology, utilizing Samsung’s proprietary panel technology, backlight units, and motion reduction algorithms to deliver the industry’s highest Clear Motion Rate of 240. Industry highest is 240 but ere it is listed 120Hz. These LCD TVs have a distinct look and feel, delivering a sleeker and more compact form while incorporating the U-line Touch of Color™ (ToC™) design of its predecessor.
Connected TV And Samsung Apps
All premium LCD 650 TVs and above include the upgraded Internet@TV with Samsung Apps, providing consumers with an expanded, easy to navigate selection of content and applications from leading services like The Associated Press, Netflix, Pandora, Twitter, USA TODAY, and VUDU. Applications can be downloaded and viewed all while watching TV. More than 20 applications will launch by the end of March, free of charge, with more to come.
Also included is Allshare™ for wireless connectivity and multimedia sharing across devices, allowing consumers to wirelessly transfer photos, movies and music from DLNA enabled PCs, mobile phones and digital cameras to their TV for big screen viewing at home with friends and family.
