Viewsonic Showcases New Ultra-Thin Bezel Monetary Display CD4230 And Its First Multimedia HDTV VTMS2431
ViewSonic today announced the addition of an ultra-thin bezel commercial display, the CD4230, and an LCD HDTV with multimedia support, the VTMS2431, to its digital signage family. These products accompany ViewSonic’s open frame LCD displays and RISC- and x86-based network media players, making the company a complete solutions provider for businesses that need to implement a full digital signage network.
CD4230 – Ultra-Thin Bezel Commercial LCD
At 13.77mm, the CD4230 is ViewSonic’s new ultra-thin bezel 42” commercial display, setting a new slim standard for large format, high-impact digital signage. Its high brightness (500 nits) and 1,500:1 contrast ratio provide clear images suitable for outdoor use. It is also RS-232 daisy-chain capable, contains DVI and VGA ports, is VESA-mount compliant with carrying handles and can facilitate DDC / CI communication between a PC and monitor for management, diagnostics and remote control.

VTMS2431 – Multimedia-Capable LCD HDTV
The VTMS2431 is ViewSonic’s first LCD HDTV with multimedia capabilities. The 24” display provides Full HD resolutions up to 1080p, has an integrated ATSC / NTSC / QAM tuner and is equipped with an internal media player and USB port to support pictures and videos. Its RS-232 port enables users to control it remotely, allowing the product to truly transform from a TV into a signage display.
The VTMS2431 will be available in Q2, 2009 for $449 MSRP.
