“We are very pleased to be able to demonstrate the immersive world of Full HD 3D here at the Cable Show,” said Eisuke Tsuyuzaki, Panasonic Corporation of North America’s Chief Technology Officer. “The cable industry is already playing a crucial role in the development of 3D in consumer homes by the creation of a broad range of 3D channels that will deliver exciting, cutting-edge content that will truly underscore the power of 3D. As a leader in 3D technology, Panasonic is working closely with key cable industry companies to develop Full HD 3D technology for future set-top box models so that more and more cable consumers can start enjoying the stunning entertainment value that 3D delivers.”
“Panasonic’s leadership in 3D technology spans far beyond our Full HD 3D Home Theater Systems,” said Mr. Tsuyuzaki. “We are creating ground breaking 3D TV solutions for everyone from consumers to the Hollywood and independent film makers that will be bringing new 3D content to the world. From Full HD 3D home theaters and professional 3D TV production equipment to the authoring of films for 3D Blu-ray Disc, when it comes to the immersive world of 3D, Panasonic is delivering the end-to-end solutions that will drive 3D to new heights in the months and years to come and we look forward to working closely with the Cable industry as we drive 3D forward.”

RCDb is demonstrating for the first time this week the live integration of Panasonic’s leading tru2way set-top box (STB) with the RCDb web services platform. This integration lays the foundation for bringing new consumer Internet experiences to the nation’s leading cable operators.
The combination of the Internet capabilities of the Panasonic STB and the RCDb network software platform enable a cable operator to integrate, deploy and manage popular consumer services from across the web without the need for a browser, keyboard or mouse on the consumer device.
Zodiac Interactive will provide live demonstrations, utilizing Panasonic’s set-top boxes, of its new PowerUp AMS, the world’s first server-based offering to deliver multi-screen, two-way connectivity between STBs and mobile Internet devices. This solution provides universal integration between Web and mobile services for multi-screen convergence in both today's legacy, and tomorrow's next-generation MSO STB environments.
New Remote User Interface Technology Debuts
Panasonic is introducing its JavaScript® based Remote User Interface (RUI) technology called AJAX-CE (Asynchronous JavaScript + XML CE). Panasonic is offering this technology to MSO’s to establish AJAX-CE as the baseline RUI technology to deliver a rich user interface with minimal integration effort. AJAX-CE can extend the MSO’s content and services to any device on the home network. AJAX-CE is the active agent deployed in millions of Panasonic Plasma HDTV's and Blu-ray players that enable the VIERA CASTTM IPTV service and is a proven technology to deliver scalable cloud-based applications and services to lightweight consumer electronics clients.
